Dreams, video games, and Alloni's Life scores

In no particular order.

I had a dream last night. I actually wrote it down when I woke up, which is a stretch for me. The dream was strange. I mean, it contained random stuff from my life currently, but combined in odd ways.

It started out with me, Nathan, and Jon purchasing tickets to travel eastward to Leonard Nimoy's home to attend some sort of gathering (I'm kind of unclear as to what kind). We traveled by bus, and when we got to some place part of the way there, we would switch to a different bus, which the ticket said left at "6:50 or 9:30". And we met some other guy on the bus who we all immediately became really close friends with. When we got to the halfway point, we split up, and I started wandering around (through weather that was either bright and sunny or hard rain (I wonder where that part of the dream came from)). And I kept seeing Leonard Nimoy all over the place. And I would say hi, and he would say hi, and we'd pass on. Eventually I caught up to him again, and I said hi, and that I was heading toward his place for the gathering. And he told me to come along with him. (Leonard Nimoy apparently travels everywhere by bus and walking as well.) I spent some time worrying about leaving my friends alone, but then I decided that they all had their tickets, and they would just assume I was around the bus somewhere. So Leonard and I were wandering, having an awkward conversation, when we passed by a place that called itself Sea World, which sold water creatures of various kinds. We went inside, and Leonard fell in love with and purchased what was called a "salt-water seal", but which looked like a water-dwelling Gray. (Back end was vaguely seal-like, but still gray, front end was mostly Gray-like.) We brought it to his house, and I asked him why he liked it so much, so he invited me to climb into it's tank so I would understand. I did, and started swimming underwater like it did, when suddenly I was it, and being underwater was natural and beautiful, and I could feel... I guess Life all around me. Around then I either woke up, or forgot the rest of the dream.

Very strange.

I'm playing a game called Alundra. It's a fairly straightforward RPG video game, but it has some... quirks. One of them is that every time someone in the village you are protecting dies, your weaponsmith friend immediately creates a new weapon for you that, he claims, the dead person gave him the inspiration for. So you sit around, waiting for your friends to die so you can gain more power. I find this very entertaining.

And lastly, I was coming in to the office this morning, when I suddenly decided that my life is being scored as an Olympic event, and I started providing color comentary for the audience. (I tripped on the stairs on the way up to the office - I think I lost some points there.) I wonder who the audience is. I hope I get a good score from the Swedish judge. He's been... looking at me funny all morning.

And a good morning to you all.
