Galileo's Breadcrumbs

Newton was known for his cooking skills, did you know that? He studied under the master French chef Louis Jene' just before Jene's death before going on to become the mathematical genius we all know. Had things gone differently, we might be eating recipes named after him today. Filet of Sole Newton. A taste treat.

Marie Curie composed advertising jingles, and it was she who came up with the advertising campaign that first brought Coca Cola into the foreground of worldwide drink business. She had the idea to shorten it to Coke, and the world was never the same afterwards.

Copernicus was a tailor, originally, and sewed all his own clothes until the day of his death. Aristotle designed and built many of the better-known buildings of his day. Even Neitsche had a second life outside of philosophy. Even today, around his home, the "Neitsche Spritz", an elaborate concotion of orange juice, vodka, gin, Kahlua, and assorted other liquors, is still one of the more popular drinks, and it was on the morning after one of the patrons at the bar where he worked decided to get him drunk that he first started believing that God was dead. All led dual lives.

Which just goes to show you. Man can't live on philosophy alone. Get a double major, for chris' sakes. Maybe get an MBA, I don't care. A philosophy degree, I guarantee you, you'll be flipping burgers at $7 an hour for life.
