Someone asked

You want the long version?

I woke up this morning, performed my usual morning activities (ie try vainly to get back to sleep, curse self for having conditioned self to awaken between 6-7:30, roll over, attempt to persuade self to call in sick and go back to sleep, eventually grab some form of reading material and read until manage to force self to leave bed, perform morning toiletries, eat "breakfast" while continuing to read (frozen lasagna this morning), leave apartment to go to work), and started driving.

Observations:

Windy. Cold and windy. Not rainy. Grey. (Or, if you prefer, gray.) Very gray. (Or, if you prefer, grey.) Very very grey. Everything seems to be particularly gray. Grey streets, gray cars, grey sky. Except for yellow. Everything except yellow is grey. But yellow is being very yellow. Very very yellow. I wonder if something is trying to tell me someone. I will spread my newfound view.

There you are.

Also, I felt like sending email to my favorite person in the world.

I'll let the two of you fight it out over who is my favorite person in the world.

Fight! To the death!

Um.

Um, I have decided, is a one-word segue. It links pretty much anything to pretty much anything else.

Another 49 minuter 13 esconds before I can leave. I must while away the weary minutes until then.

For I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep. And miles to go before I sleep.

Robert Frost.

Fine, fine individual. Fine human being. Fine poet. Fine.

Great, great individual. Great human being. Great poet. Great.

Wonderful, wonderful individual. Wonderful human being. Wonderful poet. Wonderful.

Jelly donut, jelly donut individual. Jelly donut human being. Jelly donut poet. Jelly donut.

I feel like a student, sitting at a word processor, trying desperately to stretch the 100 word book report into a 1000 word essay. Using three distinctly different words, when it is only absolutely positively necessary to use one, with all the problems that would entail, though there are no real problems it would entail.

Ah, the memories come flooding back.

<flashback special effect of some kind> <probably involving wavy lines> <or maybe pages flipping back on a calendar> <or hamsters chasing narwhales chasing hamsters...> <nunchucks flying through the air>

I remember getting a D on a paper I didn't do in elementray school.

<flashforward special effect of some kind> <backwards wavy lines> <pages falling back onto the calendar> <hamsters running from narwhales running from hamsters...> <nunchucks, um. what would be the opposite of nunchucks flying through the air? maybe flying in the other direction>

Lots of special effects for no real reason or plot. I'm well on my way to a career as a movie director.

I think I'm becoming too predictable.
